Adding Social Media to Athletic Portals

Social media links and feeds can be added to the following sections on your Athletic Portal:

Part 1: Adding Social Media Icons That Display on All Webpages

1 Access the Edit Social Media Page

Click the edit icon near the top right of the screen to access the "Edit Social Media" page.

2 Add a Social Media Account

Click the Add Social Media button at the bottom of the page.

3 Choose a Social Media Type

Click the dropdown menu under the "Category" section to choose a social media type to add. Available options include:

  • Amazon, Blogger, Ebay, Facebook, Flickr, GooglePlus, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, RSS, Tumblr, Twitter, Vimeo, Wordpress, YouTube

4 Paste Your Social Media URL

Copy and paste your social media page's link. It must be the actual URL -- the "@" handle will not work.

5 Save Your Link

Click the Update button to save your link.

6 Verify Icons Appear

Once saved, social media icons will show near the top right of the screen throughout the web portal when accessing all pages.

Important: You must use the full URL for your social media page (e.g., https://www.facebook.com/YourPage). The "@" handle format will not work.

Part 2: Adding Social Media to District Homepage

1 Open the District Homepage Settings

Click the edit icon between the stories and schedule feed on the District Homepage.

2 Enable Facebook and/or Twitter Feeds

Select the YES option for either "Do you want to display a Facebook or Twitter feed on your District home page?"

3 Enter Social Media Links

Copy and paste the respective social media link(s). It must be the actual URL -- the "@" handle will not work.

4 Adjust Feed Order

The order of the feeds can be adjusted by grabbing the "Facebook" or "Twitter" square and dragging them into the desired order.

5 Save and Verify

Click the Save button. Once saved, social media feeds will appear on your District Homepage.

Part 3: Adding Social Media to a Sport Page

1 Open the Sport Page Settings

Click the edit icon in the middle of the bottom section of the Sport Page.

2 Enable Facebook and/or Twitter Feeds

Select the YES option for either "Do you want to display a Facebook/Twitter feed on your Sport home page?"

3 Enter Social Media Links

Copy and paste the respective social media link(s). It must be the actual URL -- the "@" handle will not work.

4 Adjust Feed Order and Save

The order of the feeds can be adjusted by grabbing the "Facebook" or "Twitter" square and dragging them into the desired order. Click the Save button.

5 Verify Feeds on Sport Page

Once saved, social media feeds will appear on your Sport Page.
